Today’s Scriptures: Genesis 13:11-12 NLT – Lot chose for himself the whole Jordan Valley to the east of them. He went there with his flocks and servants and parted company with his uncle Abram.
Genesis 13:14-16 NLT -- After Lot had gone, the Lord said to Abram, "Look as far as you can see in every direction—north and south, east and west. I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession.
Today’s Words: Taking vs. Receiving
Today’s Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, as I read these scriptures this morning you revealed to me that Lot took the land by his own knowledge and in his own strength. Abram on the other hand received his land from you by your power. It is my desire to receive everything you have for me. I want to depend on you in every area of my life. May my eyes and ears always be sensitive to your voice so that I will never cross the line and become a taker. Amen.
