Today’s Scripture: Deuteronomy 22:1-3 The Message – If you see your kinsman's ox or sheep wandering off loose, don't look the other way as if you didn't see it. Return it promptly. If your fellow Israelite is not close by or you don't know whose it is, take the animal home with you and take care of it until your fellow asks about it. Then return it to him. Do the same if it's his donkey or a piece of clothing or anything else your fellow Israelite loses. Don't look the other way as if you didn't see it.
Today’s Word: Accountability
Today’s Prayer: Dear God, you know my every thought, every attitude, and every action. You are watching and I don’t want to look the other way as if I didn’t see what you are trying to show me. I know you love and forgive me even when I don’t tend to what you want me to, but I don’t want to just get away with it. Please hold me accountable. Speak to me in my spirit, show me something in your Word; or – this is the hardest one – have someone point out to me that I need to make a change. Amen.
