Leviticus 10:7-11 and 11:44-45

Today’s Scripture: Leviticus 10:7-11 The Message – God instructed Aaron, When you enter the Tent of Meeting, don't drink wine or strong drink, neither you nor your sons, lest you die. This is a fixed rule down through the generations. Distinguish between the holy and the common, between the ritually clean and unclean. Teach the People of Israel all the decrees that God has spoken to them through Moses.  And don't leave the entrance to the Tent of Meeting lest you die, because God's anointing oil is on you. They did just as Moses said. Leviticus 11:44-45 The Message – Make yourselves holy for I am holy. Don't make yourselves ritually unclean by any creature that crawls on the ground. I am God who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Be holy because I am holy.
Today’s Word: Distinction
Today’s Prayer: Dear God you make it clear how important it is to distinction between holy and common things. Forgive me when my thoughts wander down unnecessary paths and talk to me about any wasted time you see. I don’t want to consider common things more important than holy things causing my heart to harden toward you, eventually changing my standard of holiness. Help me hold tight to your standards so it will be easier to make all the right distinctions.  Amen.

Leviticus 3:12-17

Today’s Scripture: Leviticus 3:12-17 The Message – If the offering is a goat, bring it into the presence of God, lay your hand on its head, and slaughter it in front of the Tent of Meeting. Aaron's sons will throw the blood on all sides of the Altar. As a Fire-Gift to God present the fat that covers and is connected to the entrails, the two kidneys and the fat which is around them on the loins, and the lobe of the liver which is removed along with the kidneys. The priest will burn them on the Altar: a meal, a Fire-Gift, a pleasing fragrance. All the fat belongs to God. This is the fixed rule down through the generations, wherever you happen to live: Don't eat the fat; don't eat the blood. None of it.
Today’s Word: Ownership
Today’s Prayer: Wow! What belongs to you is yours and I’m not to mess with it. I can really see this apply to my desire to help you fix people. Sometimes it’s so hard not to cross the line and get into your business and yet the fixing of them belongs to you. Give me your grace and patience to wait until I’m asked to help if ever and to pray always about the things I see. I choose to give the people on my mind back to you, and I will take the grace and patience you have for me instead. Thank you. Amen.

Exodus 32:1-5

Today’s Scripture: Exodus 32:1-5 The Message – When the people realized that Moses was taking forever in coming down off the mountain, they rallied around Aaron and said, "Do something. Make gods for us who will lead us. That Moses, the man who got us out of Egypt—who knows what's happened to him?" So Aaron told them, "Take off the gold rings from the ears of your wives and sons and daughters and bring them to me." …He took the gold from their hands and cast it in the form of a calf, shaping it with an engraving tool. The people responded with enthusiasm: "These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up from Egypt!"
Today’s Word: Control
Today’s Prayer: Dear Lord what is it about our human nature that makes us want to control everything. I don’t think anyone would literally build a gold calf today, but we want you to write a message in the sky or to change people into the image we have for them. I fall into this trap as easily as anyone especially when it has to do with my husband. Forgive me for my need to have control in areas that belong to you and others. This is really more about trusting you than anything else. Amen.

Exodus 31:1-5

Today’s Scripture: Exodus 31:1-5 The Message – God spoke to Moses: "See what I've done; I've personally chosen Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur of the tribe of Judah. I've filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him skill and know-how and expertise in every kind of craft to create designs and work in gold, silver, and bronze; to cut and set gemstones; to carve wood — he's an all-around craftsman.
Today’s Word: Chosen
Today’s Prayer: God as you chose Bezalel and gifted him to do the work of your Kingdom, you have also chosen me. I know you will never ask me to do something that you have not given me the skills to do to get the job done. If you ask me as a leader to do something I cannot, you will chose people to help me as you chose Bezalel to help Moses. Your word is so helpful God. I know the Bible is a book about you working in the lives of people just like me. Thank you for our time together today. What an amazing friend you are to me. Amen.

Today’s Scripture: Exodus 20:4-5 NIV – “You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God.
Today’s Word: Idol
Today’s Prayer: Forgive me Lord, for letting anything or anyone take time and attention away from you. I want to delight in you more than anything else. I know you promise (Psalm 37:4) that if I do this you will give me the desires of my heart. With a promise like that you make it so easy for me to stay away from forming idols and yet I still mess it up. Woe is me. What an ungrateful child I am sometimes. Thank you for your mercy and grace to me in spite of my sinful ways. Amen.

Today’s Scripture:
Exodus 15:26 NIV – He said, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the Lord

Today’s Scripture: Exodus 11:6-7 The Message – ‘Widespread wailing will erupt all over the country, lament such as has never been and never will be again. But against the Israelites — man, woman, or animal — there won't be so much as a dog's bark, so that you'll know that God makes a clear distinction between Egypt and Israel.'
Today’s Word: Distinction
Today’s Prayer: Dear God you do always make a clear distinction between Israel and Egypt, bad and good, right and wrong, your will or mine. If I will just open my eyes and ears to see and hear your distinctive voice of instruction, I will never get it wrong. Even if I start down a wrong path, if I choose to listen you will redirect me. What a wonderful God you are. Thank you for choosing me as your child. Amen.

Exodus 7:3-5

Today’s Scripture: Exodus 7:3-5 NLT – “But I will make Pharaoh's heart stubborn so I can multiply my miraculous signs and wonders in the land of Egypt. Even then Pharaoh will refuse to listen to you. So I will bring down my fist on Egypt. Then I will rescue my forces—my people, the Israelites—from the land of Egypt with great acts of judgment. When I raise my powerful hand and bring out the Israelites, the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord."
Today’s Word: Egypt
Today’s Prayer: Dear Lord is there an Egypt in me? Something I don’t want to let go of that you want to remove me from. I’ve always blamed the delay in getting the people out of Egypt on Pharaoh until today. Now I see that there was a lot of Egypt in your people and it takes time to break those old habits. You didn’t show me this today for nothing so continue to open my eyes and ears until I understand the full purpose of this revelation. Amen.
