Today’s Scripture: 2 Chronicles 20:35-37 The Message—Late in life Jehoshaphat formed a trading syndicate with Ahaziah king of Israel, which was very wrong of him to do—“Because you joined forces with Ahaziah, God has shipwrecked your work.” The ships were smashed and nothing ever came of the trade partnership.
Today’s Word: Liaison
Today’s Prayer: Dear Lord, it is so important to pray and seek you before I form a liaison with another person. Jehoshaphat was a good king his whole life, seeking you and your will, but he got careless in his old age. His work was destroyed because of an evil liaison. Help me to always remember today’s lesson. Thank you for watching over me and for your Word, which keeps me on the straight and narrow path. Amen.
