Today’s Scripture: 2 Chronicles 10:7, 12:5 The Message—“If you will be a servant to this people, be considerate of their needs and respond with compassion, work things out with them, they’ll end up doing anything for you.” Then the prophet Shemaiah came to Rehoboam and said, “God’s word: You abandoned me; now I abandon you.”
Today’s Word: Rejected
Today’s Prayer: Dear Lord God, the best things of life was rejected by King Rehoboam.  He did not love you and he had no compassion or thought for your people. In turn, you rejected him. His story reminds me to be so in love with Jesus that I will never reject what is important to him. I am also reminded of words from a song—it’s not about me. It’s all about you, Jesus. Not that you would do things my way. You alone are God and I surrender to your will. Amen.
